It has been well documented that limited animal health services in remote, underserviced areas poses a significant challenge to improving food security and the livelihood of those reliant on livestock.
Through the development of a smartphone-based app, we hope to fill the gap in knowledge and research in farm-level applications. In this ambitious project, VWB team members and NUOL faculty will use the mobile training app developed by LifeLearn, as a resource to train PAWHs. The app is designed to adapt to capacity development needs for improving food security through livestock health and production.
Training is provided through the use of text and various multimedia visuals such as photos, video, and animation that relate to livestock production, healthcare and disease.
