About Us

This knowledge mobilization project was born out of the need for new tools to support and train primary animal health workers (PAHWs) and the institutions supporting them. Skilled and knowledgeable PAHWs can help provide effective animal health information in areas where veterinary infrastructure and resources are deficient. However, access to relevant and timely information is a major challenge for PAHWs and organizations working with them.

The Partnership

LifeLearn, VWB, NUOL and the University of Calgary have come together in partnership to develop a pilot application and explore whether smartphones are a well-adapted medium for providing training and capacity building in the context of a primary animal health care model.
